The Acoustic Ballroom

 That’s right folks. We’ve moved the grand distance of 25 metres down the road. The new place is fantastic. There’s loads more room so everyone will be able to see the stage. There’s a bar at cheaper-than-pub prices (so please don’t bring your own). There’s a massive disco ball (oh yes). There’s even a piano, although I can’t promise it’ll be ready for this Friday as it needs a tune…

If you’re a muscian/performer please come and do a short slot in front of a packed and friendly crowd. No one is booked before the night so no need to get in touch, just turn up. In a slightly new system two slots will be reserved for new performers, so if you’ve never been, what are you waiting for?

Fancy hearing some of the best sounds around all for the bargain price of £3? Well, doors open at 8pm. So does the bar. I’ll see you there.

We had a problem with the camera at the last Ballroom. So, there are no pictures. I can tell you that we had 21 acts up on the stage. Surely a record..

Sadly that was the last time we’ll be in the Centre 70. Due to some pesky things called “fire regulations” we would have had to drastically reduce the amount of people allowed in. The rather spiffing news is that we have a great new venue about 30 secs away from the Centre 70. More details to follow later today. (Or have a butchers in the gallery…..)
